Miami

What’s work with no play?! This trip was planned to get the girls together and shoot our debut collection NO AGENDA—Miami style. With nine of us coming from three different states, we knew we were in for the ultimate girlfriend getaway.
.
The first week of January met the Northeast with its third nor’easter of the season, cancelling many of our flights down to the sunshine state. With unwavering persistence, we all managed to find a plane to hop on, only a day later than originally scheduled. Despite this minor hiccup, we arrived in Miami on Saturday morning, excited for all that was to come.

.The warm Floridian air welcomed us as we got off the plane, so thankful to be out of the snow and on our way to the sea. We rented a house for the weekend and even went as far as to snag a van large enough to fit all of us, our gear, and our very lovely, very talented, (and very handsome!) photographer, Dan Robinson Photo
.

We found ourselves a little bungalow right on the outskirts of Miami Beach, tucked away in a remote cul-de-sac. Drinks were poured immediately upon arrival and music was blasted throughout the house, signifying that the photoshoot and the party had officially begun! We had such a blast running around in our ELYSIIAN and working as a team, with the laughter never ending; we took turns holding reflectors, making drinks, and taking orders from Dan, stopping only to run to the store and grab groceries for the weekend.

After grilling up a delicious dinner we swapped our suits for our evening attire and got ready to experience Miami nightlife! A girlfriend of ours that lives in the area lead us to Bodega, a funky little spot in the middle of Miami Beach. This low-key night club offered an exceptional DJ, $16 well drinks and an onsite food truck that served the most delicious tacos we’ve ever consumed at 3AM.

.

Sunday met us with a hangover and a hell of day ahead of us. We loaded up the van and headed out to Key Biscayne. In contrast to the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach, this isolated patch of oceanfront made us feel right at home.
.
.
.After a few hours we headed back to our girlfriend’s apartment in Brickell for a change of scenery. We basked in gratitude as we treated ourselves to a nice soak in the rooftop hot tub, enjoying each other’s company and the beautiful skyline above.

.
.Our last 24 hours in Miami were spent doing our favorite things: eating, hanging out and sneaking in photoshoots where they naturally occurred.
.

With our ELYSIIAN packed, skin tanned, and gallery filled, on Monday evening we kissed Miami, each other, and Dan Robinson Photo goodbye… for now.
